The goal of our safety program is to ensure that our workforce is trained in emergency procedures, accident prevention, safety awareness and how to work safely. The training program instills safety, responsibility and provides skills necessary to protect workers and & others from injury in the work environment. Special attention is given to new employees by providing an orientation that makes them familiar with emergency procedures and on how to perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner.
We all want to have a safe and healthy workplace. To ensure this, management incorporates all of our employee’s participation.
Bhandal Contractors is committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions and promoting positive attitudes towards safety and health within our organization for all our employees. Management can accomplish this by ensuring the implementation of written instructions identified as Systems, Procedures and Practices. We maintain adequate standards at the workplace and equipment to ensure that physical and health hazards are guarded against or eliminated.
At Bhandal Contractors, the wellbeing of our employees is our top priority. That’s why we strictly follow safety procedures to create safe and healthy working environments for our employees and collaborators.
It’s important for every worker to understand the parts of their job that affect safety. Each task can have its own risks, and knowing what they are helps prevent accidents and injuries. Our company has created job safety procedures as part of our Occupational Health and Safety Program. These procedures are reviewed and updated regularly to help everyone work safely and get the job done right.
Our supervisors are responsible for the health and safety of all workers under their direct supervision, ensuring that workers are properly instructed, made aware of all known or reasonably foreseeable hazards and that they comply with all safe work procedures and regulations to do their work safely. Workers are required to work safely, to know and follow all rules, safe work procedures and regulations and to actively participate in making their work environment safe, healthy, and productive,
It is the responsibility of supervisors employed within our company to ensure that work is planned and carried out in accordance with safe procedures and the WorkSafeBC regulations.
The amount of time and effort put into accident awareness training and prevention will be a major determining factor whether a good prevention performance record is established.
